  • Days 1–3: The Entry & Foundation – Arrival in Bangalore. The expedition begins in the "Nagarhole Ecosystem" of Kabini. This phase focuses on "Predator Tracking" via open-top 4x4 safaris to spot the melanistic leopard (Black Panther) and Asian Elephant herds. Travelers conduct a "Riverine Audit" via traditional coracle navigation to establish the auditory baseline of the forest.

  • Days 4–6: The Immersion & Ascent – An ascent into the Western Ghats of Coorg. The focus shifts to "Forest-Bathing" (Shinrin-yoku) within private heritage coffee groves and high-altitude "Ridge-walking" along the Shola grasslands. This phase emphasizes "Sonic Grounding" – identifying the shift from forest floor to mountain ridge.

  • Days 7–8: The Depth & Discovery – A descent into the dense, moist deciduous forests of Dandeli. Travelers engage in "Deep Jungle" tracking and silent rafting on the Kali River. The journey concludes with a focus on the region's unique hornbill population and the elusive big cats of the northern canopy. Departure from Mangalore.

the 14-day primal odyssey (the great deciduous arc)

destinations: kabini, coorg, chikmagalur, dandeli

An exhaustive "Tectonic Walk" along the spine of the Western Ghats, tracking the movement of wildlife across ancient animal corridors. This odyssey moves from the dry teak-wood scents of the south to the intense, damp moss and prehistoric granite monoliths of the central and northern ranges.

The Daily Rhythm & Route: BLR → Kabini → Coorg → Chikmagalur → Dandeli → GOX

Arrival: Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) | Departure: Goa International Airport (GOX)

  • Days 1–3: The Entry & Foundation – Arrival in Bangalore. "The River Entry" in Kabini. Initial orientation focuses on the "Nagarhole Logic" – understanding predator movement and scent-marking. This stage establishes the "Silent Entry" protocol for all subsequent forest transits.

  • Days 4–7: The Immersion & Ascent – A multi-day ridge run through Coorg and Chikmagalur. Travelers engage in vertical treks to Mullayanagiri and vertical coffee estate audits. The phase centers on the "Peak/Deep Protocol" – alternating high-intensity mountain movement with sensory-deprivation silence in deep forest stays.

  • Days 8–10: The Depth & Discovery  – Movement into "Black Panther Territory" in Dandeli. Activities include night-vision tracking sessions and studying the "Lithic History" of the region through treks to prehistoric cave formations and rock-cut sites.

  • Days 11–14: The Slow-Travel Reflection – The final arc concludes with "The Earth Feast," featuring wild bamboo shoot foraging and a farewell "Bush Breakfast" served on a flat rock in a dry riverbed. The journey ends with a "Salt-Wash" transition on the coast, reflecting on the 14-day rewilding of the senses. Departure from Goa.
